Meet Our Team
Our dedicated team of counsellors, mentors, and support staff are committed to transforming teen therapy through movement-based approaches that create real connection and lasting change.
A Team That Makes the Difference
At Shake Counselling, our team members share a unified passion for revolutionising teen therapy through innovative, movement-based approaches. We've assembled a diverse group of professionals with complementary strengths, all committed to creating an environment where teens feel comfortable, understood, and empowered.
What makes our team unique is our collective commitment to meeting teens where they are—whether that's on the basketball court, during a walk, or through activities that naturally facilitate meaningful conversation. Our shared belief is that therapy shouldn't feel like therapy, especially for teens who have rejected traditional approaches.
Leadership
Guiding our organisation with vision, expertise, and unwavering commitment to transforming teen therapy.

Jaxsyn Scholes
Founder
Teen Engagement • Self-Worth • Anger Regulation • Depression
Driven by a passion for making a difference, Jaxsyn established Shake Counselling in 2021 to provide an innovative, activity-based approach to counselling. By incorporating movement and physical activities into therapy sessions, Jaxsyn creates a unique and engaging environment that breaks down barriers and encourages adolescents to open up and explore their emotions.
Specialising in working with teenagers struggling with low self-worth, anger regulation, and depression, Jaxsyn prioritises building strong, trusting relationships with each individual. His compassionate and non-judgmental approach allows adolescents to feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate life's challenges.
Under Jaxsyn's leadership, Shake Counselling has achieved remarkable results, helping boys aged 14-16 reintegrate into mainstream schools, equipping NDIS participants with essential interpersonal skills, and improving the emotional literacy of countless adolescents. Jaxsyn's unwavering commitment to destigmatising the notion of seeking help from a counsellor drives him to work tirelessly every day to make a lasting impact on the lives of the teenagers he serves.
